With Garden Organic, and kindly hosted by Greening Shedfield, and Shedfield and District Horticultural Society.
Our Autumn Cycle of the Seed ‘Share & Learn’ is an opportunity for Greening Communities to share successes, discuss challenges and develop practical ideas for action around the Cycle of the Seed Pillar.
The session will be led by Paddy Halling, Cycle of the Seed pillar expert from Garden Organic , and we’re delighted to be joined by Maggie Haynes BEM, founder and former Chief Executive of Tuppenny Barn– a thriving organic smallholding and community charity focused on food growing, education and sustainable living. At our Share & Learn Maggie will be leading a practical session on setting up, developing and caring for a thriving community orchard.
Whether you’re just thinking about starting an orchard or are already caring for one, there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions, share experiences and learn from others.
Register below to join us.
You’ll come away with:
- Practical guidance on setting up a community orchard, from planning to planting
- Tips for maintaining an orchard and keeping it healthy over time
- Ideas for involving and engaging your local community
- Advice on your own food growing plans more widely from experienced practitioners
