Greening Eastleigh Town tackled both the Cycle of the Seed and Space for Nature pillars when they visited a local care home to help residents plant and sow vegetables and create a wildflower patch.

The aim of both pillars is for Greening volunteers to share advice and knowledge on growing, to support fellow residents in growing their own veg and pollinator plants to support wildlife and create new habitats. The volunteers also share the benefits of growing and aim to increase the number of households (and care homes) growing a new food crop.

It looks like the residents had fun too! Now they just need some rain to keep their growing beds watered!
