There’s always a hive of activity in Ringwood, and November’s repair café was no exception.
For this month, 21 items were brought in for repair and of those 19 were deemed repairable, with only 2 items not being able to be fixed. In total, that meant 24kg of items were saved from going to landfill!
An estimated replacement cost of £1,672 was saved by the local residents who brought their stuff in for repair, and the Repair cafe received £192 in donations.
It costs £75 to run each café event (venue hire, catering, consumables). All donations also support the purchase of additional tools for their volunteer repairers, and enable them to run their monthly sessions for the benefit of the community.
Great work Greening Ringwood!
