Following a busy winter period braving the cold weather, our greening volunteers were taking thermal images of homes in their communities to help identify areas of heat loss. But what happens after that, and how can residents find out more?
As part of the Energy Efficient Warmer Homes pillar, once each community have taken thermal images of the homes who signed up, residents are invited to a home energy advice event where they can learn more about how to interpret those thermal images to identify areas of heat loss. Attendees are also given some home hacks to keep their energy costs down and advice on grants and home retrofitting. Plus, the event includes an overview of the UK’s energy systems and the opportunity to ask lots of questions.
These sessions are delivered by experts from the Heat Pump Federation, The Greening Campaign and The Environment Centre (tEC) Southampton.
